This project served as a final assignment for my video editing class. With no specific parameters required, I decided to explore this assignment as a personal project as well. My final is an ode to my time as a proud Seattle University student for four years, as well as a loyal Bay Area resident for eighteen years. As a soon-to-be graduate, I fought a constant dilemma of a back-and-forth argument of where I wanted to locate myself post-college. I weighed the pros-and-cons constantly, unsure of my future, and thus the idea of this video was born.
My goal was to create a video that perfectly transitions between my two homes, seamlessly moving between historical landmarks, amazing viewpoints, and even local eateries. It was like a realistic fantasy that the two places I was so uncertain about staying in could exist together, where I could create perfect transitions in hopes of an even better transition for myself; a homage to my Roots.
